The surveyor's house the family spent their first winter in, the final house that Pa built, the school house Laura and Carrie attended. Alex sits at his desk in a replica of the school where Laura taught, Becca holds an example of a straw braid that the family had to use for heating during the Long Winter, Laura by the gravesites of five Ingalls family members.
